On January 4, 2012 the Buffalo Bills announced a multi-year radio broadcasting partnership with Entercom Communications to broadcast all Bills football games on WGR (550 AM) in Buffalo beginning with the 2012 season. The Buffalo Bills Radio Network can also be heard on Entercom’s WCMF (96.5 FM) and WROC (950 AM) in Rochester and southern Ontario including Sportsnet 590 the FAN in Toronto and CHML 900 AM in Hamilton.
As the home of Buffalo Bills football, WGR 550 carries all Bills football games through the season. Entercom’s WBEN had previously been the flagship station of the Bills from 1979-1989 and again from 1994-1997.
John Murphy will continue to handle the play-by-play duties with the color commentary coming from former Bills defensive back Mark Kelso.
Murphy is entering his 29th season as part of the broadcast team and 12th as the play-by-play voice of the Bills.
Kelso enters his 11th season as the color analyst for the Buffalo Bills Radio Network. Known for his intelligence and savvy on the field, Kelso supplies those same intangibles to the Bills broadcast team. Kelso enjoyed an eight-year NFL career with Buffalo (1986-1993) and served as the starting free safety for the final seven seasons of his career.
Sal Capaccio is entering his third season as the sideline reporter.
Live play-by-play audio of every Bills game is available online from the official flagship radio station with the NFL GamePass. Fans can also access live WGR Bills coverage throughout the week on the Bills mobile app for smart phones.
