Buffalo Bills offensive lineman
Over 60 kids ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade participated in four different stations including gym/fitness, computers, arts/crafts and cooking.
Bell spoke with each age group stressing the importance of physical activity each day, eating healthy and staying hydrated. He also shared his story of how he became a professional athlete and how part of his success is due to the fruits and vegetables he eats.
"Kids really listen to athletes and it's important to me, especially as a Bills player, to help educate kids by sharing my experiences of eating healthy foods and exercising properly," said Bell.
The Canisius High School Boy’s Lacrosse Team manned the gym station and their main focus was also to teach the kids to stay healthy, eat right and play 60 minutes every day.
Bell added, "I'm very supportive of the Play 60 campaign and proud that the Bills and the NFL have made it such an important part of their community messaging. The children I met at the Tonawanda Boys and Girls Club seemed very enthusiastic about being healthy kids, and it feels great that they listened and believe in our positive message."
