Posted Aug 19, 2017

In this week's Bills Life, we celebrate kicker Stephen Hauschka's new role off the field and much more.

1. Bills K Stephen Hauschka becomes a dad

There may be a new kicker in town. On Tuesday, Bills kicker Stephen Hauschka welcomed a baby boy to his family named Jones Theodore Hauschka. Not only is Hauschka excelling on the field, but he is hoping to do the same in his new fatherhood role. Feeling blessed and overjoyed by the new addition, Hauschka shared the news on his Instagram.

    2. Eric Wood welcomes special guests to camp

On Tuesday, Heritage Christian Services, an organization that works with individuals with developmental disabilities visited Bills Training Camp, presented by Connors & Ferris, at the special request of Eric Wood. The group was all smiles as they got a chance to watch practice and later meet and take pictures with many of the players. Wood first got involved with Heritage Christian Services through one of his friends who works at the organization. Wood has hosted the group at camp for the past two years. “It is such a joy to see them all,” said Wood. “They all joke I am their favorite player. It’s a lot of fun.”

    3. WR Matthews: A football star and soccer fan

Bills new WR Jordan Matthews isn’t always the one on the field. Sometimes he opts for a spot in the stands as a fan, cheering on his fiancé Cheyna Williams. Williams is a professional soccer player with Washington Spirit. The athletic duo got engaged at the end of January this year and continues to support one another in their respective sports.

Though he only has two NFL games under his belt, rookie Zay Jones is already catching the eye of the Good Morning Football crew. Jones, who has thick football roots including his father who has three Super Bowl rings, was discussed recently on the show. “He went to East Carolina University, but that kid can ball,” the hosts stated.

    5. From LSU to the NFL

In Buffalo’s first preseason game against the Minnosota Vikings, Bills LS Reid Ferguson had some friendly competition. Ferguson played against former Louisiana State University teammates, Vikings defensive ends Tashawn Bower and Danielle Hunter. Ferguson shared a photo on Twitter featuring his former teammates and current teammate Tre’Davious White, who is also an LSU alumnus.
