Roosevelt (6-0, 200) returns to the Bills after spending parts of two seasons with the team from 2010 to 2011. He appeared in 16 games and recorded 25 receptions for 396 yards and a touchdown. The University at Buffalo product now gives the Bills four Buffalo natives on their roster, joining
Roosevelt was most recently with the Detroit Lions where he signed earlier this offseason. He was released by Detroit just last Saturday.
"I got released by Detroit and Buffalo called me right away," said Roosevelt. "It's crazy that there are so many Buffalo boys on the roster now. I love it."
Cohen (6-3, 274) is a former seventh-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2008. He played under current Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz for one season when he was head coach of the Lions in 2009. Cohen appeared in 14 games for Detroit that season at defensive tackle.
Since then he has played for four teams over the past four seasons. He most notably played in 12 games for the Chicago Bears last year.
To make room for Cohen and Roosevelt on the roster the Bills released WR Ramses Barden and LB Nathan Williams.
