The Bills made it three straight draft class signings in three days as Jonathan Williams signed Friday.

The streak of signing draft choices continued for the Bills. Fifth-round pick Jonathan Williams signed his rookie contract on Friday making it the third straight day that a member of the 2016 draft class signed on the dotted line.

"I'm here to play football and I'm glad my contract is out of the way," Williams told "So now I can focus on the playbook and helping my teammates and get better."

Williams, who missed his entire senior season with a torn ligament in his foot that needed surgery, is back to full health and participated in Buffalo’s rookie minicamp last weekend.

"It's been a long process and it's been a year, but I'm excited," said Williams. "Football is something I'm very passionate about, something I've been doing since I'm five-years old, so I'm itching to get back on the football field."

Williams, who did only the bench press at the NFL combine, ran a 4.59 and a 4.66 at the Arkansas pro day in mid-March.

Over his first three collegiate seasons, Williams had 22 touchdowns and rushed for more than 2,300 yards averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He posted a single-season career high 1,190 rushing yards in 2014.

“I feel like I am back that can do anything,” said Williams. “You know a three down back that can run the ball inside and out on first and second down. Can pick up pass protection and catch the ball on third down. So I think I am a complete back.”

Williams is the third Bills draft choice to sign joining sixth-round picks Kolby Listenbee and Kevon Seymour.
