Allen (6-1, 223) is a former seventh-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens (2011). In his first two NFL seasons he appeared in 21 games serving mostly on special teams. He did log 19 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown between the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
This past offseason Allen was still on Baltimore’s roster, but was released by the Ravens during final cuts on Aug. 30th and did not latch on with another NFL club during the 2013 campaign. The Georgia Tech product is 25 years old.
Brown (6-4, 253) returns to the Bills after spending the 2013 offseason with the club. Originally signed as a free agent last April, the linebacker spent all of training camp with Buffalo and appeared in two preseason games registering four tackles. Brown was released during final cuts on Aug. 30th.
He first entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent signing of the San Francisco 49ers in 2012. The Clemson product also spent time on the practice squad of the Washington Redskins later that same year.
Colling (6-4, 320) spent this past season as a defensive tackle in the Arena Football League for the Cleveland Gladiators. He played in 16 of Cleveland’s 18 games this past year and led the team in sacks and tackles for loss.
The Bills however, intend to make the Gannon University product an offensive lineman with guard his most likely position assignment. Colling did participate in a couple of NFL minicamps as an undrafted rookie with the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers in 2012.
A Western New York native, Colling hails from Arcade, NY and was named an Associated Press Little All-American in his time at Gannon University where he ranks second all-time in career sacks (25).
