E.J. Gaines out for today's game

Posted Nov 12, 2017

The Bills were hoping to have CB E.J. Gaines back in the lineup to face the Saints high-powered passing attack, but he is out for today's game.

The Bills will again be without one of their starting cornerbacks for today’s game against the Saints. Cornerback E.J. Gaines is inactive and will miss his second straight game for Buffalo with a hamstring injury.

Gaines tried to make it back in time for this week’s game, but was limited all week in practice. Veteran Shareece Wright is expected to start again in place of Gaines at cornerback.

The Bills will also be without starting left tackle Cordy Glenn and wide receiver Zay Jones, who were both declared out on Friday.

On the positive side of the ledger, tight end Charles Clay is back in the offensive lineup. He had missed the past three games with a knee injury suffered in Week 5.

Buffalo’s tight end still leads the team in receiving yards after a strong start to his 2017 campaign. Gaines' presence in the lineup will be valuable facing the Saints high-powered passing attack.

Here is the full list of Bills inactives for today’s game.
