“At the present time he hasn’t been able to pass all the tests to get him on the field, so we’re working on that, trying to get him ready to go,” said Marrone.
Marrone said back in the spring that he was having frequent dialogue with Dareus while he was away from the team during OTAs and he came back to One Bills Drive in June to participate in minicamp.
When asked what Dareus’ focus has been like since minicamp ended in mid-June, Marrone indicated that his defensive tackle needs to have a singular focus moving forward.
“I just think right now he needs to focus on getting himself ready, getting in shape, getting on the field and focusing on football,” said Marrone. “He’ll be in shape ready to play.”
