Happening of the Day:
“It felt pretty good,” said Woods. “It felt good to be back out there with the guys in practice. Get back in the swing of things. It feels good to be back out there.”
For Johnson it was his first practice in two weeks, with a groin injury suffered in Week 10 keeping him out of the win over the Jets.
“Yeah actually it was just a limited day,” said Johnson. “We’ve got five more games in the regular season so I tried to go a little harder than I was supposed and I was cool with it.”
Quote of the Day:
“We just got back coming off of a bye week and with this being our first practice getting ready for Atlanta, I was very happy with the players coming back, their enthusiasm running around. Everybody practiced so we’re at full strength from that standpoint and we don’t expect anyone not to be available for us, which is a good sign. We’re looking forward to going up to Toronto and playing.”
“Jonathan is back and he’ll be on the reserve list for a couple of weeks before we can do anything with him, so it’s a little early to go ahead and say what we’re going to do,” said Meeks. “We’re excited that we have him back now. Obviously he was a good young player who did some good things for us and we’ll see how he develops and make a decision when that time comes. It’s a decision I’ll talk to Doug Whaley about and do what’s best for our roster.”
Bills get division help
With Buffalo on the bye this past weekend, they got some AFC East help from Baltimore and Carolina. The Ravens beat the Jets and the Panthers beat the Dolphins dropping both clubs to 5-6 on the season, leaving Buffalo just a game back in the division.
“I think after last week we knew that all the things that we want is right out in front of us,” Williams said. “It’s not going to do us any good to talk about what happened this weekend or what could happen, we just have to focus on taking care of our business and putting our nose down and then at the end of the month, then looking up. Talking about it is not going to do us any good.”
