“Terrence had a setback yesterday,” said Gailey following Tuesday's practice. "His knee got a little weaker in practice yesterday so we’re sitting him and seeing where he goes looking into the future. He’s not going to play this week so we’ll have to see where that takes us.”
McGee has been working diligently through training camp and the preseason to have his surgically repaired knee ready for the regular season. Coming out of the Pittsburgh game where he played 15-20 snaps, McGee experienced some residual soreness and practicing again Monday may fatigued the knee further.
Gailey expressed concern about McGee’s availability moving forward.
“Yeah you always are (worried),” said Gailey. “Until a guy can go out there and play consistently and have no setbacks you get worried. I’ve got a lot more confidence with where ![]()
When asked if the setback could put McGee’s roster spot in jeopardy come final cuts on Friday, Gailey indicated that would not be the case.
“I don’t see that right now,” said Gailey. “No, I don’t see that.”
