After sitting and watching the past three and a half games, Buffalo’s most consistent underneath target in the passing game stands a good chance of being in the lineup Sunday at Kansas City.
Reed practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, but came right back and participated in practice again Thursday.
“I was worried about how it would feel after getting out there and practicing, but it loosened up really well (Thursday) and it didn’t hurt me and I felt comfortable cutting,” said Reed. “I can just tell every day it’s getting better.”
“He’s practiced two days in a row,” said head coach Dick Jauron. “So it’s a lot better than it was.”
Reed’s presence in the passing game has been sorely missed, chiefly by quarterback ![]()
“It’s just trust,” said Reed of his chemistry with Edwards. “You go out there and Lee is our number one man and being that he’s going to draw some double teams and Trent just has that trust that if his first look is not there and even his second look is not there I’m going to be where he expects me to be. That’s where it comes from with him knowing if he needs me to make a play I’m going to make it.”

“You feel like when you can be out there, not saying if you’re out there you’re going to win, but I felt like we were at a bit of a disadvantage,” said Reed in reference to his absence. “I feel like if I’m doing my part we have a better chance to win the game. Hopefully I can pick up where I left off.”

“On Bryan we anticipate he’ll be on the field (Friday) and we’ll know a lot more,” said Jauron.

“I’m encouraged because I know that the training staff is doing all that they can do to make sure they’re getting me healthy,” said Greer. “And I’m doing all I can do. We’re taking it day to day. We’re going to see how it feels (Friday) and we’re going to go off of that.”

“We’ll have to wait and see on Donte,” said Jauron. “There are exceptions. It depends on the individual and a lot of times as you get later in the year it depends on our circumstances and our injury situation.”
