Russ Brandon Named President/CEO

Jan. 1 - A new course was charted for the Buffalo Bills on New Year’s day. Bills owner Ralph Wilson announced that he had elevated Russ Brandon to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. READ MORE >

Head Coaching Search Begins

Jan. 1 - As Russ Brandon was answering questions following the press conference that mapped out his day-to-day organizational control of the club, he was asked about the impending search for a new head coach. Brandon said he couldn’t wait to get to work as soon as he stepped off the podium. He meant that literally. READ MORE >

Doug Marrone Named Head Coach

Jan. 7 - It didn’t take long. After a whirlwind interview process that saw the Bills screen five candidates in the span of less than a week, Buffalo moved quickly to secure the services of Doug Marrone, who agreed to become the 16th head coach in team history. READ MORE >

Nathaniel Hackett Named Offensive Coordinator

Jan. 10 - Hackett, 33, has been Marrone’s offensive coordinator at Syracuse for the past two seasons. In the 2010 season Marrone began to cede the offensive play calling duties to Hackett, when he was still serving as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. READ MORE >

Mike Pettine Named Defensive Coordinator

Jan. 10 - Pettine will enter his 12th year in the NFL coaching ranks in 2013 and fifth as a defensive coordinator. He served in the same capacity with the New York Jets from 2009-12 overseeing a defense that finished in the top 10 in total defense each year. READ MORE >

Danny Crossman Named Special Teams Coordinator

Jan. 14 - From 2010-12, Crossman presided over the Detroit Lions’ special teams unit after seven years with the Carolina Panthers (2003-09), including the final five as their special teams coordinator. Crossman entered the NFL with Carolina in 2003 as a special teams assistant while also assisting the team’s strength and conditioning program. READ MORE >

Populous Selected for Renovations to Ralph Wilson Stadium

Jan. 17 - The Bills selected Populous, a global sport and event architecture firm, to head up the $130 million renovation project at Ralph Wilson Stadium. READ MORE > Heads to the Senior Bowl

Three Represent Bills at Pro Bowl

Jan. 22 - RB C.J. Spiller and DT Kyle Williams joined S Jairus Byrd as Bills representatives at the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl. READ MORE >

Bills, Rogers Media Extend Toronto Deal

Jan. 29 - The agreement, which begins in 2013 and runs through 2017, will see the Bills play a total of six games at Rogers Centre in Toronto: one regular season game each season, plus one pre-season game in 2015. READ MORE >

Bills Announce 2013 Season Ticket Prices

Jan. 30 - Season ticket prices will remain unchanged, and will be the same per-game price for the fourth straight season. The Bills are also lowering the season ticket cost on over 2,500 seats in the 300 level to $25 per game (was $37). READ MORE >

Andre Reed Again Overlooked by Hall of Fame

Feb. 2 - A perennial logjam has been seen as the biggest obstacle in keeping Bills all-time leading receiver Andre Reed from being selected for enshrinement for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On Saturday in New Orleans that logjam was broken, but Reed was not the receiver to gain enshrinement. READ MORE >

Bills Draft Board Building Begins

Feb. 5 - From February until the end of April the team meeting room becomes the scouting department’s draft room. With the majority of the reports complete on upwards of 700 college prospects the process of assembling their primary draft board begins. READ MORE >

Bills Part Ways With Barnett, Wilson

Feb. 11 - Buffalo’s staff made the decision to trim two veteran defensive players from the roster Monday. The Bills released LB Nick Barnett and SS George Wilson. READ MORE >

Terrence McGee Released

Feb. 14 - The team parted ways with veteran cornerback Terrence McGee, a former fourth round draft pick in 2003. He arrived in Buffalo in 2003 along with kicker Rian Lindell and defensive end Chris Kelsay. READ MORE >

QB Tarvaris Jackson Re-Signs

Feb. 15 - He was brought in as an insurance policy right before the 2012 regular season in a trade with Seattle. The Bills re-signed quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, giving the veteran signal caller an opportunity to see playing time for Buffalo in 2013. READ MORE > Covers the Combine

Chris Kelsay Retires

Feb. 27 - Defensive end Chris Kelsay has said for years that he wanted to spend his entire playing career with the Buffalo Bills. After 10 years with the club Kelsay announced his retirement. READ MORE >

Shawne Merriman Retires

Mar. 5 - At one time he was the most feared pass rusher in the NFL, but at age 28 Shawne Merriman chose to announce his retirement from pro football. READ MORE >

LB Bryan Scott Re-Signs

Mar. 7 - He’s been through the process before, but with a new coaching staff and a host of roster changes a return to the Bills was anything but certain. Veteran linebacker Bryan Scott however, will return to the Bills for the 2013 season as he officially re-signed with the club. READ MORE >

McKelvin Agrees to Terms

Mar. 9 - He was labeled a priority to be re-signed by Bills GM Buddy Nix. Just days before the free agent market was set to open Buffalo successfully brought CB Leodis McKelvin back into the fold. READ MORE >

Ryan Fitzpatrick Released

Mar. 12 - Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills parted ways, as the team released the veteran signal caller. READ MORE >
