Bills promote OL Gaddis

Posted Nov 25, 2009

The Bills filled the other hole on the interior of their offensive line Wednesday left vacant by veteran guard Seth McKinney. Buffalo promoted C/G Christian Gaddis from their practice squad and placed McKinney on injured reserve.

Gaddis (6’1”, 300) was just signed to the team’s practice squad last week (Nov. 18) after being released by the Bills at the end of training camp. He most recently spent time on the practice squads of Cleveland and Indianapolis before the Colts waived him in December of last year.

He originally entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Bills in May of 2007.

Practice squad moves
The Bills have also made a pair of additions to their practice squad, signing DT Lonnie Harvey and OL Jason Watkins.

Harvey (6’3” 342) entered the league as an undrafted rookie with Carolina this past spring, but was released by the Panthers prior to the start of the regular season. He played his college ball at Morgan State.

Watkins (6’6” 325) was also a rookie free agent who signed with Houston this past May and did not make the Texans’ opening day roster. Watkins, an offensive tackle, played in college at the University of Florida.
