The final game week of the season would not be complete for the Bills in 2009 without a player going on injured reserve. On Friday Buffalo placed their 19^th player on injured reserve this season as rookie LB Nic Harris’ season ended a week early due to a knee injury.

Harris did not practice all week and was placed on I-R less than a week after leading the Bills in tackles with 12 in the loss to Atlanta last Sunday. The Oklahoma product made two starts in his first NFL campaign, but primarily played on special teams.

Taking Harris’ vacant roster spot was OT Nick Hennessey. Hennessey (6’5” 291) has been on the team’s practice squad all season after not making the 53-man roster at the close of the preseason.

The offensive tackle was signed by the Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Colgate this past May.

Hennessey is expected to dress for Sunday’s game with the Bills shorthanded at the offensive tackle position. Starting left tackle Jonathan Scott and backup Andre Ramsey were both declared out for the season finale against the Colts with ankle and calf injuries respectively.

The only other healthy tackles currently on the roster are Kirk Chambers and Jamon Meredith. Rookie left guard Andy Levitre is also capable of playing tackle as he did in Week 10 at Tennessee.
