Terrence McGee's shoulder injury suffered in Sunday's game turned out to be a serious one. The Bills top cornerback was placed on injured reserve Tuesday effectively ending his season.

McGee's shoulder injury will most likely require surgery. If that proves to be the case it’ll be the second time this season McGee will need surgery after having his knee scoped for a torn meniscus during the Bills bye week.

“I’ve never really had a season like this myself with back to back type stuff,” said McGee in reference to his injuries. “But the team has been through a lot with injuries.”

McGee became the 17^th player to go on Buffalo’s injured reserve list tying the team high set in 2007.

Hamdan back
Filling the roster spot left vacant by McGee, was quarterback Gibran Hamdan.

Hamdan was waived by the Bills just last month when the club signed Brian Brohm off Green Bay’s practice squad on Nov. 19.

With the status of Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick up in the air for this week’s game at Atlanta after they both suffered ankle injuries last Sunday, and Brohm still getting up to speed with the offensive system, Hamdan is a valuable insurance policy as he has a firm grasp of the Bills scheme.

Hamdan in his three seasons with Buffalo has never appeared in a regular season game.
