• Returned nine kickoffs for 238 yards in the postseason to establish a new Jets’ record for most kickoff-return yards in a single postseason, surpassing the previous mark of 179 yards on eight returns by Jerricho Cotchery in the 2004 playoffs
• Vs. TEN (9/27) Allowed Larry Izzo to recover Ryan Mouton’s muffed punt when he hit Mouton immediately after the muff, freeing the ball for Izzo… added his first reception of the year on a 17-yard pass from Mark Sanchez

CIN (1/3) Received a game ball after scoring the first rushing touchdown of his career, taking a direct snap 32 yards into the end zone… led the Jets with 92 rushing yards, including a career-long 57-yard run… added a punt return of six yards and a kick return of 20 yards in the playoff-clinching victory

• Played in all 16 games, making a career-high nine starts as he recorded career-bests in receptions (32) and receiving yards (352 yards) while scoring the first two touchdowns of his career… added 45 yards on 12 rushing attempts and tallied 12 stops on special teams coverage… returned nine kickoffs for 183 yards
• At NYG (10/7) Started and recorded the first touchdown of his career when he caught a 16-yard pass from Chad Pennington… finished the game with three receptions for 44 yards
• Vs. BUF (10/28) Recorded a team-high three special teams tackles
• At MIA (12/2) Hauled in his second touchdown of the year on a 19-yard pass from Kellen Clemens, giving the Jets a lead they would not relinquish

Became the first player in NCAA history to pass for at least 8,000 yards and run for another 4,000 yards at the University of Missouri… finished his collegiate career fourth on the all-time NCAA career total offense chart with 13,088 yards… holds the program’s career marks in rushing touchdowns (42) and passing scores (56)… with 2,304 passing yards and 1,301 rushing yards in 2005, he became the first NCAA Division I-A player to achieve the 2,000/1,000 mark twice in his career, first came during redshirt year as a freshman in 2002… majored in Business Administration.
PERSONAL
Was a two-time all-state selection and two-time All-City Offensive Player of the Year at Chaney (Youngstown, OH) High School… threw for over 2,700 yards in his career and 34 touchdowns… also rushed for over 1,200 yards and scored 19 times on the ground… an all-city selection in basketball... Smith and his wife, Dr. Rosalynn Smith, have one son, Alex.
COMMUNITY
Brad and his wife Rosalynn participated in the Night out with the Bills which is put on by the Buffalo Pro Ministry Athletes in Action. The players in attendance shared stories about their views on faith, signed autographs and posed for pictures with over 700 members of the Buffalo Community.
Brad and several of his teammates made an appearance at the Buffalo Bills and American Red Cross blood drive at Ralph Wilson Stadium to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. The most recent drive on June 13, 2012 brought in a record-breaking 523 units – shattering the old record by 122 units.
Brad supported the Play 60 Challenge by attending the annual kickoff celebration held at Kleinhan’s Music Hall in September. Over 2,500 Buffalo Public School students attended the rally and listened to the players give their favorite health tips and compete in a health and wellness themed quiz show. Brad also participated in the Play 60 Fitness Party in December of 2011. Over 300 children from the Buffalo Public Schools came to the Bills Fieldhouse to enjoy the fitness party. Players in attendance discussed the importance of staying active for 60 minutes a day and assisted in running the football-themed fitness stations.
Brad showed his support for the Play 60 Movement once again by visiting H.O. Brumstead Elementary in Holland, NY which was named the “Play 60 Super School” through the Back to Football Friday Program. Brad participated in the Ultimate Physical Education Class and presented the $10,000 grant to the school so they can continue their health and wellness initiatives.
