COMMUNITY: Garrison supported the Play 60 Challenge by attending the annual kickoff celebration held at Kleinhan’s Music Hall in September. Over 2,500 Buffalo Public School students attended the rally and listened to the players give their favorite health tips and compete in a health and wellness themed quiz show. Garrison also participated in the Play 60 Fitness Party in December of 2010. Over 300 children from the Buffalo Public Schools came to the Bills Fieldhouse to enjoy the fitness party. Players in attendance discussed the importance of staying active for 60 minutes a day and assisted in running the football-themed fitness stations.

Garrison showed his support for the Play 60 Movement once again by visiting Armor Elementary in Hamburg, NY which was named the “Play 60 Super School” through the Back to Football Friday Program. Garrison participated in the Ultimate Physical Education Class and presented the $10,000 grant to the school so they can continue their health and wellness initiatives.

Garrison also participated in the Bills and NFL’s Annual High School Player Development (H.S.P.D.) camp which focuses on character development and specific football-skill training. Along with assisting in the football drills, Garrison helped spread positive messages about staying in school and on the right track.

Garrison supported the Teammates For Kids Foundation this year by attending their annual dinner held in November. Garrison along with his other teammates have supported the cause which was co-founded by Garth Brooks and Bo Mitchell over the past 5 years. Garrison also supported his teammate Brian Moorman and the PUNT Foundation by attending the Pottery Painting Party in the Bills Fieldhouse in September and the Annual Black Tie Gala held in October, which raised over $80,000 benefitting children battling cancer.
