PRO:  Promoted to the 53-man roster on December 28th after re-joining the practice squad on November 23rd… promoted from the team’s practice squad to the 53-man roster on November 9 after joining the team’s practice squad on September 6, 2010… spent the 2009 year on the Oakland Raiders’ practice squad… originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round (191st overall) draft choice of Cleveland in 2008 and spent the season on the team’s practice squad.

COLLEGE: Former football walk-on who was known for his track exploits when he arrived as a freshman at Wisconsin… appeared in 35 games, with 21 starts for the Badgers, recording 53 catches for 936 yards and five touchdowns… his career average of 17.1 yards per reception tied Larry Mialik (1969-71) for fourth on the school career-record list… averaged 21.8 yards per catch in 2007, and was one of three Badgers to average more than 20 yards per reception in a single-season… lettered on the track squad in 2003-04… won the Big Ten Conference long jump indoor title (24’ 4 1/4”) and won the 100-meter dash at the Loras Open (10.66), where he also captured the long jump title (24 5 ¾”) and finished third in the triple jump (46’ 5 ½”)… won the Big Ten Championship outdoor long jump title (24 5 ½”), where he finished sixth in both the triple jump (50’ 11 ½”) and 100 meters (10.98)… won the Northridge Invitational long jump title (24 4 ½”) and the Iowa Twilight triple jump title with a mark of 50’ 5 1/4”… graduated with a degree in sociology and received a certificate in criminal justice.

 

PERSONAL: Attended Widefield (Colorado Springs, CO) High School where he excelled in track, capturing the Division 4A long jump and triple jump titles twice… won the long jump and triple jump at the 2003 USATF Junior Olympic Championships… was a 2003 All-American selection by Track & Field News and had the top prop mark in the triple jump (52’7”).
