COLLEGE: Tied for 2nd on the school career-record list with 15 interceptions…He had at least one interception or pass deflection in 28 of the 48 games he played in…Started 46 of 48 games at Akron. … In 2007, voted team captain … All-Mid American Conference first-team selection… Tied for fourth in the nation with a career-high seven interceptions for 142 yards in returns (20.3 avg) and a touchdown. … Graduated with a degree in early childhood education.
PERSONAL: Son of Charlie Carter and Joseph Corner…Earned All-Ohio, All-District and All-County honors in each of his last two seasons at McKinley High School (Canton, OH) where he excelled as a wide receiver…Had three interceptions and 43 catches for 739 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior…As a junior, he had 45 catches, 749 years and eight touchdowns…Was a member of McKinley’s 1998 state championship team…Also was a member of the state champion 4x400-meter relay team for track.
COMMUNITY: In 2008, Reggie participated in the Toyota Rookie Club appearing at numerous community events throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. Each month, Reggie and all first year players did one community appearance as a group. During the 2008 season the Toyota Rookie Club events included a visit to Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, the Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario, a trip to the Northwest Buffalo Community Center to serve Thanksgiving Dinner and hosted the Annual Bills Holiday Party for children at Ralph Wilson Stadium to approximately 300 children and families.
