PRO:  Originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011

 

COLLEGE:  Four-year letterman at Ball State (07-10), playing in 46 games with 34 starts…recorded 167 tackles, 34 stops for loss, 17 sacks, three passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and three fumbles recovered…his career sack total ranks sixth in school history.


• 2010: Started all 12 games as a senior, notching 63 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and six sacks…was a second-team All-Mid-American conference selection that year…earned Mid-American Conference defensive player of the week honors when he tallied a career high 4.5 sacks against Central Michigan…was a recipient of the strength and conditioning Cardinal Pride award from the teams coaching staff.
• 2009: Started all 12 games to earn third letter…career high 10 tackles vs. North Texas…blocked the third punt of his career and the second of the season at Eastern Michigan…career high three tackles for loss at Army…led the team in tackles for loss and sacks…tied for 23rd in the nation in tackles for loss .
• 2008: Played in all 14 games and started 10 contests…tied for second on the team with four sacks and was sixth for the Cardinals with 6.5 tackles for loss…managed a season high eight tackles at Miami University…posted seven tackles vs. Eastern Michigan…registered at least three tackles in nine games…tallied first career sack vs. Northeastern plus had sacks at Akron, at Toledo and vs. Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl…blocked first career punt vs. Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl.

PERSONAL:  Attended Crockett (Detroit, MI) High School where he earned two letters in football for Coach Roderick Oden . . . helped team to a 9-2 record as a senior and a 21-3 mark in his career . . . managed 92 total tackles, 19 sacks, 32 tackles for loss, four blocked punts and four forced fumbles as a senior . . . Detroit News All-City as a senior plus earned All-Metro Second-Team honors . . . managed 160 tackles, 30 sacks, 60 tackles for loss, 10 blocked punts and 10 forced fumbles in his career . . . ranked as the 28th best overall player in the state of Michigan…son of Robert III and Bridgett Eddins…has one brother.
