COMMUNITY: Demetrius participated in the “Kids in the Kitchen” event at the Tonawanda Boys and Girls Club in May of 2010. Over 60 kids ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade participated in four different stations including gym/fitness, computers, arts/crafts and cooking. Demetrius spoke with each age group stressing the importance of physical activity each day, eating healthy and staying hydrated. He also shared his story of how he became a professional athlete and how part of his success is due to the fruits and vegetables he eats.
The Offensive Line teamed up with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Erie County to take 20 young men holiday shopping in December. Demetrius was amongst the group of players that gave an unforgettable experience to the young men.
