•    Saw action in 15 games, starting 9. Recorded his the first statistics of his career, carrying the ball 12 times for 46 yards and catching seven passes for 79 yards. Also helped block for just the second Bills running back duo in team history to surpass 800 yards rushing a piece (Jackson, Spiller).

•    vs. NE (9/8): Saw time on special teams

•    vs. CAR (9/15): Started at fullback, recording two receptions for 49 yards -- the first two receptions of his career.

•    at NYJ (9/22): Saw time on special teams

•    vs. BAL (9/29): Started at fullback, helping block for a rushing attack that tallied 203 yards on the ground

•    at CLE (10/3): Saw time at fullback, blocking for a rushing attack that totaled 155 yards and three scores.

•    vs. CIN (10/13): Started at fullback, blocking for a rushing attack that tallied 130 yards and a score.

•    at MIA (10/20): Recorded his first carries of the season, tallying two rushes for 14 yards

•    at NO (10/27): Carried the ball one time for three yards

COLLEGE

The only player in UNLV history to have led his team in both rushing (six)and receiving (four) touchdowns in the same season (1997) ... Posted both the team’s longest rushing score (36 yards) and receiving score (56) in

2007 ... Named as the Toughest Player to Bring Down in the MWC in 2008 by Lindy’s ... Also included among the league’s top-10 players with NFL Talent by the preview magazine ... The former Pac-10 signee was also recruited by Utah and Washington State as well as USC as a fullback out of JC ... A member of the 2008 Rebel Leadership Committee ... The only Rebel chosen to play in a postseason all-star game shined for Team Texas in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star game played in El Paso on Jan. 31, 2009 ... Summers rushed just once for three yards but was a standout blocker on kickoff returns and caught four passes for 54 yards, including a 19-yard grab and run into the end zone to give his side a 7-6 lead.

Frank E. Summers was born on Sept. 6, 1985, in Oakland ... The son of James and Talia Summers ... Has two younger siblings, Jeremy and Miles ... Majored in university studies at UNLV.
