2011: Started the first 8 games of the season before suffering an injury… in those 8 games, piled up 90 tackles including 52 solo stops, 12.5 tfls, 7 sacks and 5 forced fumbles… led the team in both tackles and sacks earning the Lakers’ Defensive MVP award… the senior linebacker collected a number of post-season awards including First Team All-PSAC, PSAC Fall Top 10 Winner, the Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American, D2Football.com Honorable Mention All-American, the Don Hansen Super Region One, ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, ECAC First Team, Capital One First Team Academic All-American and Capital One First Team All-District… after his senior season Wild was named Erie Times News Sportsman of the Year for his excellence in both Lacrosse and Football, winning a National Championship in Division II Lacrosse… finished his career tied for 8th all-time in tackles with 304… was also voted team Captain for the 2011 season… is again in the running for the Pete Nevins PSAC Scholar Athlete of the Year which he received for the 2010-2011 season.

2010: Recipient of the 2010-11 Pete Nevins PSAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, the first in Mercyhurst’s history...was a two-sport athlete this year for the Lakers, having been an integral part of both the PSAC Champion football team and the National Champion men’s lacrosse team...started all 13 games on defense for the Laker football team that finished the regular season nationally-ranked in total defense (17th, 271.73 yds/gm); scoring defense (23rd, 18.36 ppg); rushing defense (17th, 95.64 yds/gm); pass defense (36th, 176.09 yds/gm); sacks (13th, 3.09/gm); and tackles for loss (T19th, 7.91/gm)...finished third on the team in total tackles with 79 and had five or more stops in 11 of the 13 games...forced a team-high three fumbles and had the sixth-best tackles for loss mark with five (-21 yards)...posted a season-high nine stops on two occasions, including all solo tackles against Notre Dame in the season opener...Wild was a 2010 All-PSAC West First Team selection, a 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America First Team member, a 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team member, a 2010 Daktronics Super Region I First Team selection, a 2010 Don Hansen Football Gazette Super Region I First-Team selection, a member of the 2010 ECAC Division II Football All-Star Team, and was a 2010 Don Hansen Football Gazette Second Team All-American...Wild then helped Mercyhurst win its first-ever national championship in men’s lacrosse in the spring...scored four goals, including the game-winner, in the 9-8 win over #5 Adelphi to claim the Most Outstanding Player Award in the championship game...finished the season fifth on the team in scoring with 20 points...awarded the NCAA men’s lacrosse recipient of the Elite 88 Award, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals...enters his senior season 21st on the all-time list for total tackles at Mercyhurst with 214, having just surpassed his brother Zac, who finished his career with 211.

2009:All-PSAC West Second Team selection...started 10 games for the Lakers, missing the Lock Haven contest with a leg injury… finished second on the team with 74 stops, including 50 solo…ranked fourth with seven tackles, including a sack…led team with two forced fumbles…just missed tying his career-high of 14 tackles with a 13-stop effort in a 17-16 loss at Slippery Rock…recorded at least five tackles in every game…posted a career-best three tackles for loss in a 27-17 win over rival Gannon…talented defensive back who plays an integral role in the Lakers stack defense…ranked 13th at the end of the regular season in the PSAC with 7.5 tackles per game...CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second Team All-District II selection.

2008: The rookie appeared in all 11 games for Mercyhurst, stepping into the starting role in the last seven contests…ranked fourth on the squad in tackles with 61 while finishing fourth in tackles for loss…posted career-best 14 tackles (10 solo) at IUP on October 18…had two double-digit tackle efforts with the other being 10 tackles (six solo) the following week in an upset at nationally-ranked Edinboro…had four or more tackles in seven contests.

High School: Named First Team All-Conference as both a junior and senior...Team defensive Most Valuable Player, leading the team in tackles each of his final two seasons...Three-time letterwinner...Also a standout lacrosse player and track and field competitor at Baldwin High School...in lacrosse, was the WPSLA Player of the Year, team Most Valuable Player, and All-Conference selection.

Personal: Born March 13, 1990...majoring in international business...Son of James and Teresa Wild...Two brothers, Zac and Garrett...Zac was a defensive end on the Mercyhurst football team and Garrett is an incoming freshman for the Lakers in 2011.
