Drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft with the 22nd pick overall...the second of the Bills two first round picks in 2004, following Lee Evans (13th overall)...the 22nd pick was acquired from Dallas via a draft day trade...Losman was the first quarterback taken by Buffalo in the first round since Jim Kelly was drafted 14th overall in 1983.

COLLEGE:
Two-time team captain who set the Tulane career record for lowest interception percentage in school history with a mark of 2.73 (27 INTs in 987 attempts)...finished his career ranked in the Green Wave all-time Top 10 in 18 categories, including third in touchdown passes (60), completions (570) and passing efficiency (129.81)…also ranks in the Top 10 all-time in Conference USA in 10 different passing and total offense records...originally began his career at UCLA in 1999, transferring to Tulane in 2000, where he served in a reserve role behind Patrick Ramsey for two seasons…started 27 of 38 games during his career, completing 570 of 987 passes (57.7%) for 6,754 yards, 60 touchdowns and only 27 interceptions...gained 241 yards with 10 scores on 237 carries…gained 6,995 yards in total offense, an average of 184.1 yards per game… As a senior in 2003,  led the C-USA in touchdown passes and passing yards and ranked second in the league in total offense…became only the third player in school history to throw for over 3,000 yards in a season, completing 251 of 422 passes (59.5%) for 3,077 yards, 33 touchdowns and 14 interceptions…his 33 scoring tosses are topped only by Shaun King (36 in 1998) on the school’s season-record list....Graduated with a degree in political science with a minor in Media Arts.

Full name – Jonathan Paul Losman…Attended Venice (Cal.) High...earned Parade All-American honors and was rated the No. 3 quarterback in the nation by Prep Star...also a member of the Dallas Morning News National 100.

COMMUNITY:
JP got involved in helping clean-up the City of Buffalo when he started the Buffalo Lives program in the summer of 2007.  Buffalo Lives is a non-profit organization JP started along with support from Mayor Byron Brown and the city of Buffalo.  Buffalo Lives aims to unite the city’s citizens to improve the appearance of Buffalo.  JP hopes to inspire Buffalonians to clean and clear the streets of trash and other debris and help restore the city’s historic beauty.  Buffalo Lives organized a city-wide clean-up event with more than 1,000 volunteers during Labor Day weekend in 2007.
