On being back in there as the quarterback how it will be

It's going to take a little bit to get back into it, but I'm excited and anxious to get the opportunity again to get back out there and help this team win. I feel healthy, my wrist feels better now and I'm just going to have to get on the same page with all the guys on offense and move the football on Sunday.

On being desperate for win and production on offense

I don't think you can play the position or play offense with a desperation mode in mind. It's got to be - take it one series at a time. If the previous series didn't work out, go to the sideline, talk with the coach, look at the pictures, see what's wrong with the previous series and then move on to the next series regardless of what the defense does and regardless of the way special teams goes.

On what he has been seeing, thinking the last few weeks

I picked up a lot. I knew kind of going into this season I had to be prepared to play, but you can never predict the way a season goes.  It's a 16-game season, 17-week season and you have to be ready for anything. It's a tough position to be in, but I'm anxious to get back out there. I've learned a lot by sitting on the sidelines and watching some things go on and learning more about the offense and hopefully that will be to my benefit.

On if he agrees that the problem with the offense has been the quarterback

I'm not the type of guy when I do criticize our offense, I don't criticize one particular thing. I think it's a combination of a bunch of different things. If everyone can do their job a little bit better, I don't know if anyone's been perfect all season long, one guy might be not as perfect as another guy, but they all kind of have to come together and do what they need to do to get it done. I don't think it's just one particular position.

On the fragile status of a pro quarterback

It's not like the college level where you're kind of the guy for the entire season and they're going to run with you the entire season. It's so much more of a 'what have you done for me lately' business that you always have to be prepared each week and regardless of whether of your second or third string and that's something I'm starting to realize pretty soon. That's just kind of the way it goes and you have to accept that. The sooner you accept the sooner you'll be able to get things done out there.

On if it will be hard to block things out of his mind while playing

That's the way the quarterback position is now and to see that thing unfold. I wouldn't necessarily say it's any more difficult. It might be a little bit more pressure, but its more motivation to prepare for the upcoming games, more motivation to get on the same page with the other guys on the team and that's hopefully what I'm going to be able to do here.

On if the quarterback situation is uglier in the pros than college

No, not at all. It's a much different game than the college level, but it's not any uglier. There's much different aspects to the game than there were at the college level.

On Coach Jauron hoping that he can provide a spark to the offense

I think if you asked the other ten guys on offense they're all trying to provide a spark here so it's not like it's all on me to get out there and provide a spark. There are other guys that can do some things on offense as well that we need to provide a spark. And all of us need to come together and hopefully kind of provide that for us.

On being the new guy coming into the offense this week to provide a spark

Sure but there's no reason why when you look at the other guys that have played all season why they can't look to these last five games to provide a spark in each individual game. Being the new guy you need to be able to have that mindset and mentality that will help you do it. But I think all of the other guys kind of want to do that as well.

On if he feels he can take more on versus his last playing time

I hope so. I hope I can use the experience I had at the start of the season and hopefully take that and run with it here with the last five games. And that's something I spent a lot of time thinking about and then going over in my mind what I learned and a lot of things I learned from sitting on the sideline too. Hopefully all of that can come together for me and help provide that spark that I was just talking about.
