12th annual Kids Day game sells out

The Buffalo Bills announced that the 12th annual Kids Day Game, 7:00 PM August 25 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers is sold out and will be seen on local television. WKBW-TV in Buffalo helped secure the game for local television by guaranteeing the purchase of all remaining tickets. For fans who are still interested in attending the game, limited ticket inventory will remain available for purchase at all Buffalo Bills ticket outlets.

As part of the purchase, WKBW donated a block of tickets to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo. "We are excited to provide our families with this opportunity." said Diane Rowe, Chief Professional Officer of Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo. "WKBW is a great supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs and we sincerely appreciate everything they do for our members."

In a recent visit to Buffalo with WKBW, Actor Mario Lopez of "Extra" visited the Beecher Clubhouse as the Fitness Ambassador for the Boys & Girls Clubs where he received a personalized Buffalo Bills Jersey from The Buffalo Bills, Channel 7 and the members of the club. He spoke to the kids about the importance of good role models and being a part of the Boys and Girls Clubs across America. "Extra" premieres at 7 PM weekdays on September 3rd on WKBW-TV.

The Kids Day Game will feature youth themed tailgating, an exclusive gameday giveaway; a Bills bicycle license plate, the Healthy Zone Cruiser, interactive games, face painting, Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders, Billy Buffalo, stage performances by artist Glenn Colton (http://www.glenncolton.com/) and Jeff Musial (https://www.facebook.com/JeffMusialAnimalExpert) of Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics as well as post-game fireworks. Concessions will feature $1.00 hot dog specials.

This year's exclusive Kids Day giveaway features a Buffalo Bills bicycle license plate for kids 14 years of age and under (limited quantity available.) Children can use this license plate when they are riding their bike to PLAY 60.

Activity times are as follows:

3:30 – 6:30 PM Lot C area under the scoreboard youth themed tailgating opens

4:00 – 5:00 PM Glenn Colton performs

5:30 – 6:15 PM Nickel City Reptiles performs

Post-game fireworks

Kids Day is presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, the Official Health Plan of the Buffalo Bills, Kiss 98.5 and WKBW-TV, the official TV station of the Buffalo Bills.

A youth football scrimmage will take place at halftime during the Kids Day Game as part of USA Football Month. Youth football players also will participate in Stampede Row during Buffalo Bills player introductions.

As a reminder to fans, for the safety of all guests and team members, please note that NFL policy requires visual inspection and hand-held metal detector screening of all guests, employees, vendors, media and game production personnel.

Stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff and all fans are advised to enter the gates at least one hour prior to kickoff to avoid entry delays. In addition, fans are urged to empty their pockets before the screening area and hold their keys, cell phones or loose change in their hands to help ease the entry process. The Bills will open the 2012 regular season Sunday, September 9 on the road against the Jets. The Bills home opener at Ralph Wilson Stadium will be Sunday, September 16 against the Chiefs. The Bills will host one prime time game Thursday, November 15 against Miami. Sunday, December 16, the Bills will play one home game at Rogers Centre in Toronto as part of the Bills Toronto Series.
