Bills Play Football Month 2019
The Buffalo Bills celebrated Play Football Month by hosting a variety of events throughout August that included two Gatorade Jr. Training Camps and the annual Moms Youth Football Safety Clinic, as well as halftime scrimmages and pregame ceremonies at both home preseason games.
ACES Foundation Community Wellness and STEM Festival Presented by Turner Construction
In partnership with Turner Construction and the Buffalo Bills, Lorenzo Alexander’s ACES Foundation hosted a Community Wellness and STEM Festival at the Belle Center where kids of all ages participated in STEM labs and activities.
Buffalo Bills Foundation Donates Sports Equipment
The Buffalo Bills Foundation partnered with Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, The Buffalo Police Dept., and Victory Sports to donate bags full of sports equipment. The sports equipment will be placed inside the trunks of BPD patrol cars for the officers to engage with kids throughout their communities.
One Buffalo Organization of the Game Award: Gateway Longview
Each home game Bills' players will select a local organization that enriches our community. This week the players have chosen to recognize Gateway Longview. This organization offers eighteen programs caring for families and children from birth through age 21, focusing on behavioral health, as well as community-based, residential, and special education services.
One Buffalo Organization of the Game Award: The Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo
Each home game Bills' players will select a local organization that enriches our community. This week the players have chosen to recognize the Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo. Established in 1926, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo has been at the forefront of youth development supporting young people in our community.
One Buffalo Organization of the Game: United Way of Buffalo and Erie County
Each home game Bills' players will select a local organization that enriches our community. This week, the players have chosen to recognize United Way of Buffalo and Erie County. The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County is a great community partner of the NFL and the Buffalo Bills, connecting our players with people and organizations in our community. In 2017, United Way celebrated their centennial anniversary--100 years of working together--and they will continue to connect families, and those who are struggling, to resources that lift them up to ensure a healthy community for the next 100 years.
Bills Legends celebrate volunteerism at the United Way Day of Caring
In support of the NFL’s “Huddle for 100” initiative, Bills Legends Darryl Talley, Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas got out in the community on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to support the #BillsHuddlefor100 campaign by volunteering during the United Way Day of Caring! Bills host Honorary Captain for once-in-a-lifetime experience
The Buffalo Bills welcomed William "Will" Lucas from Stone's Buddies at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital to the field for a special moment during practice on Friday, Aug. 2. Earlier in the day, Lucas signed a one-day contract with Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott to serve as the honorary captain!
