Bills "Tailgreats" contest announced

The Buffalo Bills are now engaging fans in their historical 50th Season with another new and entertaining online experience with their 50th Season page on buffalobills.com

Fans can re-live the team's Greatest Moments, answer Bills historical trivia questions, upload their photo and place it in a favorite Bills moment. The photos can be saved, emailed to friends and fan comments can be posted. 

Bills fans may also enter a tailgate recipe contest where they can share their greatest Bills tailgate recipes.  The fans with the ten greatest tailgate recipes submitted before July 4th, will be selected to be featured on the Bills All Access television show's "Tailgreats" segment this fall. Both Tops Friendly Markets and Bison are sponsoring the tailgate recipe promotion.

In addition, the Buffalo Bills cutting-edge interactive fan voting micro site that commemorates the Bills 50th Season All-Time Team has been recognized with two distinct Interactive Media Awards.  The site, produced by Channel 1 Media Solutions, has been very successful and popular with fans - especially during the player and coach voting process.

Nearly 500,000 votes were tabulated on the site which was created to commemorate 50 years of great Bills football players.  In addition to voting for their favorite Bills players, fans were able to view action videos, review player statistics and download a personal customized widget for their social networking sites.

"We are extremely pleased with the dynamic and interactive website that Channel 1 Media created for the Bills 50th Season All-Time Team," said Marc Honan, Bills senior vice president of broadcasting and marketing. "We have received tremendously positive feedback from the Bills fan base and we are thrilled with the fan experience that Channel 1 provided."

The IMA awarded two awards for the same project - a first for Channel 1 Media.  The awards were for "Best in Class – Sports" and "Best in Class – Entertainment."

The Interactive Media Awards recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in these categories.
