On Twitter, he's known as @gregobomb, and it was Greg Kowalczyk's Twitter presence that helped him land the Buffalo Bills and Tim Hortons "Announce the 4th Round Draft Pick Contest" grand prize. Greg submitted a unique photo during the contest, accurately depicting his love both for the Bills and Tim Hortons.
"I had a lot of support and people saying I'd be perfect for this and voted for me," said Greg. "I think my Mom sent the picture out to everyone she knew. Such a great opportunity … I can't wait to represent the Bills."
Greg says the photo, which won him the contest, was his girlfriend's idea.
"My girlfriend was behind me and the picture idea 100%. "She's going with me, and she's real excited," the Bills fan told buffalobills.com.
The main portion of the prize is a trip to Radio City Music Hall, where tonight, Kowalczyk will live out the experience Bills fans have only seen on TV - announcing a Buffalo Bills draft choice in New York City.
The nine year season ticket holder has his own expectations for who the Bills should choose in the fourth round, but will wait and see who GM Buddy Nix and the team back at One Bills Drive pick for him to read aloud.
"I have a few names in mind that I want to read out, and hopefully the Bills go the same direction," said the Bills season ticket holder.
Kowalczyk will be announcing the pick in proper fashion- head to toe Bills gear. While attending the Buffalo Bills Draft Party Presented by Bud Light Thursday, Greg received his Buffalo Bills/Tim Hortons Prize Pack including: a Stephon Gilmore jersey, an autographed Jairus Byrd mini-helmet, a $500 Visa Gift card, $25 Tim Hortons gift cards, two Tim Hortons jackets, one New Era Buffalo Bills draft cap, one Nike blue men's Bills t-shirt, one Nike blue women's Bills t-shirt, one Nike women's pullover, two Bills notebooks, one Bills umbrella, two Bills Lead the Charge tumblers, and two Bills pens. He's definitely ready for the season.
While in New York, Greg hopes to explore the city as much as he possible, and plans to attend a New York Yankees game in addition to his time at the NFL Draft.
