5 players to watch: Bills at Bears

Khari Lee The tight end needs to have a breakout performance to convince the offensive staff that he should be on the 53-man roster. He's flashed at times through camp and the preseason, but a start to finish outing is what will help him most.

Ray-Ray McCloud He's a dynamic player in space and he's expected to get opportunities to put those talents on display. McCloud has to prove he can be a multi-dimensional weapon as a receiver and a return man against Chicago.

Connor McDermott The long, tall offensive lineman is battling to be the team's fourth tackle on the 53-man roster. A strong night of pass protection, coupled with no mental errors or pre-snap penalties will only help his cause.

Lafayette Pitts He was a capable fill-in off the bench last season on the boundary. Now Pitts is battling a couple of upstarts in Breon Borders and undrafted rookie Levi Wallace for one of the final cornerback spots on the roster. His special teams performance could be crucial in nailing it down.

Tanner Vallejo The backup middle linebacker candidate is likely to see his most time on the field against the Bears. With Julian Stanford hurt in the last preseason game (nose), a solid outing could tip the balance in his favor to land the backup MLB job.
