Rumor. Speculation. A draft-day trade. A first-round QB. The new face of the franchise in Buffalo.

All of it happened on April 25, 2013 as the Bills engineered a trade to move back from ninth overall, while never losing sight of the intended target.

"With the 16th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select EJ Manuel, quarterback, Florida State."

And with those words from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, so began the EJ Manuel era in Buffalo.
