Bills add DL Quentin Groves; RB Ricky Seale

In the wake of the loss of DE Jarius Wynn to a season-ending knee injury the Bills wasted little time in reinforcing the roster. Buffalo signed veteran free agent defensive lineman Quentin Groves on Tuesday after he worked out for the club on Monday.

Groves, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2008. He played in 16 games for the Tennessee Titans last season as a rotational player on their defense. He registered 16 tackles and a sack. He had a career-high 46 tackles and a career-high four sacks three seasons ago for the Arizona Cardinals.

Buffalo also added to their numbers at running back after being stuck with just a pair of healthy ball carriers Monday. The Bills signed undrafted rookie RB Ricky Seale. The Stanford product most recently was a tryout player in the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp this past May.

The Bills had just LeSean McCoy and Bronson Hill available for practice Monday against the Browns and had to press WR/PR Marcus Thigpen into running back duty to lighten their load.

To make room for both players on their roster the Bills placed DE Jarius Wynn and LB Ty Powell on injured reserve. Both suffered ACL knee injuries recently. The club also waived DL Erik Williams.
