Bills add eight players to the roster

The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed the following eight players: CB Marcus Cromartie, T Cameron Jefferson, LB Jacob Lindsey, DE Jake Metz, OL Jordan Mudge, DB Bradley Sylve, LB Junior Sylvestre, and LB Eddie Yarbrough.

A 6-0, 195 pound Wisconsin product, Cromartie was most recently with the San Francisco 49ers. He has played in 21 games with one start and has recorded 18 tackles, three passes defensed, two tackles for a loss and one fumble recovery.

Jefferson most recently spent time with the Broncos practice squad. The 6-5, 317-pound Arkansas product started at multiple positions on the offensive line in college.

A 6-2, 220-pound Harvard product, Lindsey is entering the NFL for this first time in his career. He played in 30 games at Harvard and totaled 185 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 13 tackles for a loss, five forced fumbles and 14 pass breakups.

Metz comes to Buffalo from the Philadelphia Soul in the Arena Football League where he has played the past two seasons. Metz briefly spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016. A 6-6, 265-pound Shippensburg product, Metz has compiled 29 tackles and 8.0 sacks with the Soul.

A 6-4, 300-pound Nevada product, Mudge comes to Buffalo from the Arena Football League where he has played for the Arizona Rattlers, Portland Thunder and San Jose SaberCats. Mudge was named the Spaulding Offensive Lineman of the Year for the 2016 season in the AFL.

Sylve comes to Buffalo from the University of Alabama where he played football and ran track through the 2015 season. The 5-11, 180-pound product of the Tide was named the Special Teams Player of the Year as a senior.

A 6-0, 242-pound Toledo product, Sylvestre most recently spent time with the Indianapolis Colts. During his collegiate career, he started 30-of-51 games and registered 286 tackles, 7.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and eight passes defensed.

A 6-3, 259-pound Wyoming product, Yarbrough spent the 2016 offseason with the Denver Broncos. He played in 47 games at Wyoming and totaled 256 tackles, 21.5 sacks and 39 tackles for a loss.
