Bills add LB to practice squad

With a vacant spot on their practice squad the Bills filled the position signing rookie free agent linebacker Vince Hall.

Hall (6'0" 238) went undrafted last spring, but quickly signed following the draft with St. Louis. The injury bug however, robbed him of an opportunity. He tore his hamstring in Rams minicamp and was placed on the waived/injured list.

After clearing waivers he was transitioned to injured reserve, but was released by the club on Sept. 8.

A Virginia Tech product, Hall is a former teammate of Bills third-round pick Chris Ellis, and was known as a tackling machine for the Hokies where he recorded 404 tackles in four seasons.

A knee injury that required microfracture surgery after Virginia Tech's appearance in the Orange Bowl in January prevented him from participating at the NFL Combine in February.

Healthy now, Hall is the only linebacker on Buffalo's practice squad. The practice squad opening was created last week when DL Corey Mace was elevated to the active roster to replace Ellis who went on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
