Bills add two RBs; release two others

The tinkering with Buffalo's training camp roster continues. Bills GM Buddy Nix has been busy this first week of camp with several roster changes and there were a couple more Friday. The Bills signed a familiar face in free agent RB Bruce Hall and rookie free agent RB Anthony Elzy.

Hall (5'11" 205) originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2008 and spent both his rookie year and the 2009 season on Buffalo's practice squad. He was promoted to Buffalo's active roster for the season finale in 2009, but did not play. The following offseason Hall was signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos, and spent the 2010 season on the Broncos practice squad.

A straight ahead, downhill rusher with some burst, Hall has good vision for holes and is most effective between the tackles.

Buffalo also added undrafted rookie RB Anthony Elzy. Ironically, Elzy was a reserve running back for the North Carolina Tar Heels and stepped in for Bills fifth-round draft pick Johnny White last season when White broke his collarbone.

In the final three games of the 2010 season, Elzy (5'9" 209) had 52 carries for 230 yards (4.0 avg.) and a pair of touchdowns. He also showcased some of his versatility with 20 receptions for 301 yards (15.0 avg.) and a pair of scores over that three game span.

Clocked at 4.7 in the 40 at the North Carolina pro day, Elzy also had a vertical leap of 30 inches with a broad jump of 9'4".

Two RBs releasedTo make room for the two running backs that were added to the roster Buffalo released undrafted rookie running backs Emmanuel Moody and Vai Taua.
