Bills and M&T Bank announce new partnership

Orchard Park, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills announced Thursday a new agreement with M&T Bank, Buffalo's largest publicly traded company.

As part of the agreement, M&T Bank has renewed their five-year sponsorship as the "Official Bank of the Buffalo Bills." M&T, a Bills marketing partner since 1985, is the only bank allowed to advertise at Ralph Wilson Stadium (RWS) and at Bills' training camp, and the only bank permitted to use the Bills' trademark on Buffalo Bills checks and check cards. Another term of the deal ensures that the enclosed, climate-controlled seating area in the southeast corner of RWS will continue to be named the "M&T Bank Club" for the next five years.

"The Bills are one of Western New York's most important civic assets and the team has a large and very passionate fan base. This type of sponsorship helps keep the Bills viable in WNY and allows M&T to stand with local fans in supporting our home team," said Peter Eliopoulos, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for M&T. "It also provides the bank with an important way to deliver added value to our customers."

"M&T Bank and the Buffalo Bills share the same vision with regard to our pride in the Western New York area and commitment to the community," stated Pete Guelli, Bills senior vice president of business ventures. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with M&T Bank for another five years. We are looking forward to working together on initiatives that will benefit our fans and align our brands even closer."

In addition, M&T has recently expanded its marketing relationship with the Bills by retaining All-Pro punter Brian Moorman as spokesman for M&T's exclusive Buffalo Bills Checking account. Moorman will be the focal point around M&T's Built for Bills Fans marketing campaign this fall. Further information about the campaign is available at www.builtforbillsfans.com.

"Brian Moorman will be an exciting addition to our team. He works hard, he gets the job done on the field and he's very involved in the Buffalo community. We understand those values are important to M&T's employees and our customers," said Eliopoulos.

M&T Bank, founded in 1856, is one of the top 20 largest U.S. commercial bank holding companies, with approximately $66 billion in assets. M&T Bank operates more than 680 branches and 1,600 ATM's in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.
