Bills announce changes in player personnel department

The Buffalo Bills today announced the following changes within the team's player personnel department.

Rob Hanrahan has been promoted to Director of Pro Personnel. Hanrahan is entering his 15th season with the Bills after serving as the team's assistant director of pro personnel in 2014 and pro personnel coordinator from 2008-13. From 2004 – 2007, Hanrahan served as a pro personnel assistant after two years as the team's scouting assistant from 2002 – 2003. He first joined the Bills as an intern in the media relations department in 2001.

Kevin Meganck has been promoted to Director of Football Operations. Meganck is responsible for assisting with player contract negotiations and with managing the salary cap, management of all football-based research systems and coordinating team travel logistics. He is entering his 12th season with the Bills after serving as the team's contract administrator/football analyst in 2014. He has worked in the team's player personnel department since first joining the organization in 2004.

Kevin Murphy has been hired as a pro scout. Murphy served as a pro scout for the Houston Texans from 2007 – 2014, overseeing the advance scouting of opponents and evaluating players from teams around the NFL and the CFL. He first joined the Texans in 2006 as a pro scouting intern.

Marcus Cooper has been promoted to a college area scout. Cooper is entering his fifth season with the Bills after spending the past four seasons as a player personnel assistant (2013-2014) and as a personnel intern (2011-2012), where he provided support to all levels of scouting and player engagement departments.

Casey Weidl has been named Manager of Football Operations. Weidl is entering his fourth season with the Bills after spending two years as a video assistant and one year as the team's video intern. He will be responsible for organizing the logistics of the personnel department on a day-to-day basis.
