The Bills added to their linebacking corps on Wednesday as they awarded a waiver claim for LB Tyrell Adams.

Adams, 25, was most recently with the Oakland Raiders, but was released earlier this week when the Raiders signed NaVorro Bowman.

Adams was serving this season as the backup middle linebacker to starter Marquel Lee and had 18 tackles this season, appearing in all six games for the club.

Originally an undrafted rookie free agent signing of the Seattle Seahawks in 2015, Adams (6-2, 230) spent most of the 2015 season on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

He signed with the Oakland practice squad in October of 2016 and was soon promoted to the active roster and appeared in six games mostly on special teams.

To make room for Adams on the roster, the Bills released LB Deon Lacey.
