Bills fans are top text subscribers

Bills punter Brian Moorman and defensive end Aaron Maybin took photos and signed autographs for hundreds of fans yesterday at the Verizon Wireless retail store location on Transit Road in Williamsville, NY.

The signing was to help promote the Bills Text Alerts program with Verizon and urge fans to sign up for Bills Text Alerts.

Buffalo Bills fans currently lead the NFL?s northeast region with over 14,000 text alert subscribers and are making a push to crack the 15,000 plateau.  Buffalo fans are answering the call and are nearly 5,000 subscribers ahead of fans in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York (Giants).

Bills Text Alerts provide fans with last-minute breaking news about the team and game information and also are used to  communicate emergency information such as weather and/or traffic situations. Player appearances are also shared.

To sign up for Bills Text Alerts, fans may send a text to 64621 with the message: BILLS.
