Bills-Lions preseason game blacked-out

The Buffalo Bills announced that a few thousand tickets remain for the Bills vs. Detroit Lions preseason game to be played Thursday, 6:30 p.m., September 3rd at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Per NFL rules, the game was not a sellout 72 hours prior to kickoff and will not be televised locally.

The game will air on a tape-delayed basis on the official Buffalo Bills television station, WKBW-TV in Buffalo, Friday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. WHAM-TV in Rochester will air the game on Saturday, September 5th at 8:00 p.m. WTVH-TV in Syracuse will air the game on Saturday, September 5th at 6:00 p.m.

This game marks the last preseason game before the regular season begins. The Bills regular season starts on Monday, September 14th, 2009 when the Bills travel to New England to play the Patriots. The team's first regular season home game is Sunday, September 20th, at 4:05 p.m. vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Radio listeners can tune into the game in Buffalo on 97 Rock (96.9 FM) and 103.3 The Edge (103.3 FM). Listeners in Rochester can tune into WHAM (1180 AM). The game can also be heard throughout the region on the Bills radio network.

Fans interested in purchasing Bills individual game tickets are encouraged to check www.ticketmaster.com, NFL ticket exchange or call the Buffalo Bills ticket office at 1-877-BB-TICKS (228-4257). In addition to the Lions preseason game, tickets remain for the Miami Dolphins game on Sunday, November 29th, New England Patriots game on Sunday December 20th and the Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday, January 3rd, 2010.
