The turnover at the wide receiver position began a few weeks ago with the additions of players like Isaiah McKenzie, Deonte Thompson and the call up of Robert Foster. That process took another turn with the release of veterans Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes on Tuesday.

Both Benjamin and Holmes saw their playtime percentage decrease on offense in recent weeks due to the emergence and production of Foster, McKenzie and Zay Jones.

Benjamin struggled to produce as a number one receiver in Buffalo's passing attack this season. He also had trouble securing the football on potential scoring plays and was criticized for his effort by fans.

Filling the two vacant spots on Buffalo's roster are DE Mike Love and CB Denzel Rice from the practice squad.

The Bills also placed center Russell Bodine on the injured reserve list.
