Bills release five, reduce roster to 76

With the deadline for the first cutdown to 75 players looming at 4 pm Tuesday Buffalo got an early start Monday releasing five players.

Headlining the list of released players was undrafted rookie WR Da'Rick Rogers. Rogers was seen as a player with a lot of potential, but struggled with his focus in training camp on both offense and special teams at times. With the depth that Buffalo enjoys at the receiver position Rogers was waived.

The other cuts on Monday for Buffalo were WR DeMarco Sampson, S Dominique Ellis, CB Jumal Rolle and C Ryan Turnley.

Buffalo's roster now stands at 76 so the club will need to make one more roster move prior to 4 pm Tuesday to get to the required 75.
