Bills RT Butler carted off with knee injury

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Bills starting right tackle Brad Butler is out with a knee injury after he was hurt in the first half against Tampa Bay.

Buffalo is additionally banged up with cornerback Leodis McKelvin out after hurting his ankle and reserve tight end Shawn Nelson out after hurting his shoulder.

Butler's injury appeared to be the most severe after he was carted to the locker room. He was hurt when Buccaneers defensive lineman Stylez White rolled into the back of his legs while attempting to strip the ball from quarterback Trent Edwards. Butler was unable to put much weight on his right leg as he was helped off the field by Bills trainers, before being carted away from the sideline.

Jonathan Scott took over in Butler's place.

McKelvin didn't return after he was spotted limping off the field after Carnell Williams scored on an 8-yard touchdown pass to cut Buffalo's lead to 20-14 with 27 seconds left in the first half. The Bills announced that both McKelvin and Nelson won't return.

Buccaneers defensive tackle Roy Miller returned for the start of the second half after hurting his ankle in the first half.
