Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills announced today they have sold 56,011 season tickets for the 2008 campaign. This season ticket total ranks as the second highest in team history surpassing the 1991 number of 54,604. The highest season ticket total in franchise history is 57,132, accomplished in 1992.
"To surpass 56,000 season tickets certainly is a tremendous accomplishment and it's one that is shared by both the team and the community," stated Russ Brandon, Chief Operating Officer. "We continue to see benefits from our regionalization strategy and this season in particular, we saw tremendous growth from the Canadian market place."
Verizon Wireless purchased a block of season tickets to push the total over 56,000. Verizon Wireless plans to distribute the tickets to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo and Rochester throughout the season.
For fans interested in purchasing individual game tickets, limited availability remains for the November 30th game versus the San Francisco 49ers and the December 28th game versus AFC East rival New England Patriots.
