In a Nutshell: **Buffalo used turnovers to overcome an early three-point deficit as part of a string of 22 unanswered points to stake themselves to a 22-3 third quarter lead. Two forced fumbles by Bacarri Rambo and a Corey Graham interception led to 13 points off turnovers for the Bills.

Rambo then closed out the game with an interception in the waning seconds on a pass by Ryan Fitzpatrick that was intended for Kenbrell Thompkins, allowing the offense to kneel out the remaining seconds on the clock to deliver a crucial 22-17 victory.

New York tried to climb back into the game on Ryan Fitzpatrick touchdown passes to Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, but Buffalo's defense got a pair of turnover on downs in their red zone in the fourth quarter to allow the Bills to hang on for a 22-17 victory.

LeSean McCoy carried the offense averaging almost six yards a carry to finish with 112 yards on 19 carries and finished with 159 total yards from scrimmage. Buffalo's run game was effective enough against the Jets top ranked run defense. Their 148 rushing yards were the most given up by the New York this season.

With the win the Bills moved into a tie with the Jets for second place in the AFC East at 5-4.

How it went down:--The Jets got on the scoreboard first when newly signed kicker Randy Bullock put a 29-yard attempt through for a 3-0 lead with four minutes left in the opening quarter.

--Buffalo matched it with a field goal drive of their own as a Corey Graham interception led to a 47-yard Dan Carpenter field goal.

--On the ensuing kickoff Bacarri Rambo forced Devin Smith to fumble. Duke Williams scooped up the loose ball and returned it 19 yards for the first touchdown of the game. Carpenter however, missed the extra point (9-3) with five a half minutes left in the half.

--Buffalo would tack on another three points before the half as Carpenter capped a two-minute drill drive with a 41-yard field goal with three seconds left in the half.

--The Bills put together their most impressive drive of the game when Tyrod Taylor marched the offense 80 yards on seven plays before hitting Karlos Williams with a 26-yard touchdown pass to push Buffalo's lead to 12 (19-7).

--Bacarri Rambo's strip of Chris Ivory on the next Jets possession and subsequent fumble recovery led to another three points for Buffalo. Carpenter put a 29-yard attempt up and through for a 22-7 lead midway through the third quarter.

--The Jets finally answered as Ryan Fitzpatrick hit Brandon Marshall for a 14-yard touchdown reception with four minutes remaining in the third to cut the lead by to a dozen (22-10).

--New York made things interesting when Fitzpatrick capped a 69-yard scoring drive on a 31-yard pass to Eric Decker with just over seven minutes remaining (22-17).

--The Jets comeback effort was ultimately foiled when Rambo intercepted Fitzpatrick's final pass with 24 seconds remaining.

Subplots: **Bacarri Rambo posted a pair of forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception. His two forced fumbles led to 10 Buffalo points.

Down 12 at the start of the fourth quarter the Jets chose to go for it on a 4th-and-2 at the Bills 20-yard line. Ronald Darby stoned Brandon Marshall on a quick throw to the flat and Leodis McKelvin came in to assist for a two-yard loss and turnover on downs.

With his 26-yard touchdown reception, Karlos Williams became the second player in NFL history to score a touchdown in his first six career games joining New England's Robert Edwards (1998; six-game streak).

LeSean McCoy went over 100 yards from scrimmage for the third straight game Thursday night making him the first Bills player to accomplish the feat since CJ Spiller's three-game streak in games 12-14 in 2012.

EJ Manuel was a surprise inactive for the game with Josh Johnson serving as the team's backup quarterback behind Tyrod Taylor.
