Bryan Scott shares journey from cornerback to linebacker

Training Camp wrapped up at St. John Fisher College officially Wednesday morning, so the John Murphy show felt it was fitting to have lead journalist Chris Brown on to name the players for his camp awards.  The entire list can be seen here on the website, but one player who both Murph and Chris agreed stood out over everyone was Scott Chandler.  He clearly is running on a different gear than he was last year and is primed to have a big season.  Chandler and his position coach Pete Metzelaars are the latest subjects of Bills Focus.

Another player who has really stepped it up is the newly converted linebacker Bryan Scott.  He took us through his extremely interesting journey of being drafted by the Falcons as a cornerback to now feeling comfortable enough lining up at any of the LB positions.  Scott will be primarily used in the nickel package.

We were able to gain some perspective on other teams around the league, starting with Pete Bercich from the Vikings radio network.  Bercich discussed the tough schedule ahead for Minnesota, as well as the troubles with their young quarterback and a still banged-up Adrian Peterson.  The Dolphins have gained attention recently for various reasons, and Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post shed some light there.  Volin believes despite the circus of Chad Johnson and Hard Knocks, and questions about who their QB will be, they still have a tough squad who will be competitive.

You can hear the entire show by downloading the podcast on this website, the Buffalo Bills app or through the iTunes store.
