A new era of Buffalo Bills football begins under the lights.
The NFL announced that the Bills will host the Detroit Lions in Week 2 of the 2026 season on Thursday Night Football, marking the first game to be played at Highmark Stadium.
The nationally televised matchup on Sept. 17 will stream exclusively on Prime Video. It will also be available locally over-the-air in Buffalo (channel TBD).
After years of anticipation, Bills Mafia will officially welcome football into the franchise's new home in primetime as two of the league's top contenders meet on the national stage. This will be the second consecutive season Buffalo's home opener is played in primetime.
The Bills have won their last four home openers dating back to 2022, averaging 38.5 points per game.
Buffalo's full 2026 schedule will be revealed May 14.
