DiGiorgio supports Read Across America day

Buffalo Bills linebacker John DiGiorgio shared some laughs and read to a few of the more than 45 million readers that were in the company of a good book last week in celebration of the National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America Day.

In support of National Reading Month and Read Across America Day, Buffalo Bills linebacker John DiGiorgio visited with students at the Country Parkway Elementary School in Williamsville, NY on March 2nd. DiGiorgio read, Oh the Places You Will Go, by Dr. Seuss, signed Dr. Seuss books, and enjoyed green eggs and ham with the students for breakfast.

Now in its 12th year, the NEA annually sponsors Read Across America Day as a part of March's National Reading Month.  The initiative focuses on motivating children to read, in addition to helping children master basic skills.  The reading celebration takes place each year on or near March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids and books.
