It's the last opportunity for players eager to make the final 53-man roster to make an impression on Buffalo's coaching staff. Tonight is the team's preseason finale against Detroit and job are literally on the line for some players. Here's a list of five players that are looking to have big time performances.
1 – Sean Allen –The undrafted rookie has been running as the second string center for most of the offseason. He needs to show he can be consistent in standing his ground in pass protection against the bigger defensive tackles, while also displaying the athleticism to pull and get out on screens.
2 - Joique Bell –Bell is the team's leading rusher in the preseason with numbers that currently have him ranked fifth in the league (22-142 2 TDs). He'll need another solid performance if he's to beat out Chad Simpson for a roster spot provided the team chooses to keep four running backs on the 53-man roster.
3 – Andrew George –With about a week of work with his new team, the recent tight end signee has to do a lot in a short amount of time to impress. He figures to get a long look tonight, but has he had enough time to be considered for the final roster?
4 – Cary Harris –After not playing in last week's preseason game due to injury, Harris let rookie Dominique Harris (no relation) play in his place at free safety. Harris has shown flashes of his ability on special teams this preseason. He'll have to duplicate that effectiveness on defense if he's to crack a very deep and veteran-laden position.
5 – Naaman Roosevelt –The Buffalo native and U.B. product had a solid training camp displaying a sure set of hands. He must make an impact on special teams and in the passing game tonight to enhance his chances for a final roster position.
