Bills outside linebacker Greg Rousseau earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for Week 5 after delivering one of the biggest plays in Buffalo's 37-34 overtime victory over the Rams.
With Los Angeles lining up for a potentially game-winning 48-yard field goal in overtime, Rousseau powered through the protection and got a hand on the kick, keeping it short of the uprights and giving the Bills another possession.

Buffalo capitalized on the opportunity as kicker Tyler Bass connected on a 45-yard game-winning field goal moments later.
Rousseau's block made NFL history in several ways. It marked the first blocked field goal in overtime since Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt accomplished the feat on Sept. 9, 2018, against Cleveland.
It was also the first blocked field goal in overtime that directly led to a victory since San Francisco's Dontae Johnson did so during the 2015 season on Jan. 3, 2016, versus St. Louis.
The play was also familiar territory for Rousseau. His overtime block was the first field goal blocked by the Bills since Oct. 13, 2025, at Atlanta, a kick that was also blocked by Rousseau on Monday Night Football.
Rousseau has been a force defensively for the Bills this season. His six sacks rank second in the NFL and his three forced fumbles are tied for first among all NFL defensive players.
